THE GOODIES OF FEBRUARY

The international wave of love is about to hit. February is here and the malls will be lit up with hearts, candies, and all things red. We will suddenly see more couples hanging out together with gifts and bouquets in their hands, singing to the tune of love. Saint Valentine may be an Italian but love is globally Indian. 

Simultaneously, there is an emptiness that hits people, more so at this time, irrespective of whether you have a partner. The emptiness of “am I right?” “Is he/she the right one for me?” “Will I ever get my perfect partner?” “Is my twin flame going to message me?” “I love him/her so much but how do I make it work?” “I want to marry and have children but I am scared.” “I have been cheated on and I don’t trust anyone anymore.” And worse… “I may die alone.” In love or out of it, fears are natural like an outcast sky, it will come for a couple of days/ weeks in a year ;) How do we prepare for this? When the days are gloomy, where do we source hope from? When everyone seems to be perfectly in love, how do we snuggle in by ourselves and feel the warmth of our own love? 

The world is very different from what it was 2 years ago and feeling languished is a part of many people’s lives now. “Meh” is the new most used expression and it does not seem to work for most but that’s the only way they can describe their mood and state of being. Spouses have come close to each other and have fallen apart as well- the demographics of the world have experienced both intimacy and remoteness while living under the same roof. 

The desire to live a life of excitement and seeing dreams move to the spectrum of reality is alive and the fuel to keep going comes from passion. Passion and goals are best achieved when they are people to celebrate with. And here we are… back to love, connections and relationships! As long as you don’t come in your own way and create obstacles for yourself, I would say that all is well. If you are obstructing your own view, please get out of your sight in this season of love and gift yourself a blossoming romance.
